Pricing & fees

No. The $99 fee covers the trip to your house and the full diagnostic. If you approve the repair quote we give you, that $99 is applied directly to the cost of the repair. You only pay the diagnostic alone if you choose not to fix the system.

Yes. If your system is old or dead, we send a comfort advisor to measure your home, discuss options, and give you exact replacement quotes. That visit is completely free, with no obligation.

It means we don't charge by the hour. Once we diagnose the problem, we show you the total price from our pricing book. That's exactly what you pay, even if the repair takes us three hours longer than expected.

Not yet — we're finalising a partnership with a financing provider and you can join the waitlist on our financing page to hear the moment it opens. In the meantime we'll always give you the flat repair price and the replacement price side by side so you can decide without pressure.

Scheduling

Usually, yes — the times on our booking widget are live openings, not a request form. If you can see a slot today, it's real and a tech is assigned the moment you confirm.

We run evening windows on weekdays and open Saturday slots during peak season. The booking widget always shows what's actually available — if Saturday's open, you'll see it there.

Repairs & systems

Yes. We're EPA-certified on the new A2L standard that ships in most systems installed since 2025, common in newer subdivisions. Older R-410A systems too, of course.

Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs more than a third of replacement and the system is 12+ years old, replacement usually wins — especially with high run-hours. We'll give you both numbers and zero pressure.

For standard 1-inch pleated filters, we recommend replacing them every 30 to 90 days. If you have pets, allergies, or a large family, check and change them every 30 days. High-efficiency media filters (3-5 inches thick) typically last 6 to 12 months.

Air conditioners freeze up due to restricted airflow or low refrigerant. Check if your air filter is extremely dirty or if vents are closed. If the filter is clean, you likely have a refrigerant leak or blower motor issue, which requires a certified technician to inspect and repair.

The diagnostic fee ($99 Standard / $160 Priority) covers the cost of sending a certified, background-checked technician to your home with a fully stocked truck to inspect and diagnose your system. We charge upfront flat-rate prices for repairs rather than hourly billing. You will know the exact cost of the repair for your approval before any work begins, so there are never unexpected hourly charges.

The EPA is phasing out R-410A refrigerant in new HVAC equipment to transition to low-GWP (Global Warming Potential) A2L refrigerants like R-454B. This transition makes systems more environmentally friendly. If you have a working R-410A system, you do not need to replace it; servicing and replacement parts will remain available for many years. However, new installations will use these updated refrigerants.

Signs include rising energy bills, system running longer or turning on and off constantly, unusual squealing or grinding noises, uneven temperatures across rooms, or a buildup of dust around vents. Regular seasonal maintenance prevents expensive breakdowns and keeps your utility bills low.

Yes! We offer flexible financing options to fit your budget, especially for major system replacements. This allows you to restore comfort to your home immediately and pay in convenient monthly installments. Visit our Financing page or speak with our technician for details.

Before booking a dispatch, check that: 1. Your thermostat batteries are fresh and it is set to the correct mode. 2. Your indoor air filter is not completely clogged. 3. The outdoor unit's disconnect switch (on the wall next to the unit) is on. 4. The HVAC breaker in your main electrical panel has not tripped. If these check out and your system is still not running, let us know and we'll send a technician right over.

Maintenance Plan

For $16/month: two precision tune-ups a year, waived trip fees on every visit, and priority scheduling when the summer rush hits.

No contract — it's month to month, cancel anytime. Most members stay because the two tune-ups alone are worth more than the annual cost.
